Sadly, some people think that is kind of odd and only could wear for formal event such wedding. Sejauh Mata Memandang (As far as the eyes can see), is the name of local brand from Indonesia that is make batik motif become more playful and could be use anytime for youth. Created by Chitra Subyakto also Arya Dipa, first it has Noodle Bowl collection. Rooster and flower logo is the special characther of it. The rooster logo inspired by a bowl of mie ayam, one of Indonesia favorite noodle streetfood.
At this one year exhibition, Chitra release the second collection Algae Series. Patterns of checked seaweed farms in Bali and fisherman boats that decorate oceans in Indonesia could be seen in this collection. Luckily, I got a chance to attended her one year exhibition and an invitation to see the fashion runaway for real.

To be honest, it is not my first time got an opportunity to watch fashion runaway. I used to do an internship at Harper’s Bazaar magazine and it made me easy to get an access and attended those kind of events. The fashion show is be held in one of five star hotel in Jakarta called The Darmawangsa Hotel, and what a coincidence! It is actually a part of event that is organize by Harper’s Bazaar Magazine and SKII. I didn’tknow that before, I met and talked with my seniors when I do an intership in that magazine. Such a great day actually!
